According to a study in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning in a regular push-up, you lift 64 percent of your body weight, whereas with a knee push-up, you lift 49 percent.
The difference is just 15 percent!
So why do toe push ups feel SO MUCH HARDER!
Toe push push ups feel harder because they also activate more of the abdominal muscles, quads and hips, demanding whole body integration.
The good news is…. if you consistently perform enough push-ups on your knees to reach a point of fatigue you will be able to do push-ups on your toes in no time. Effort and consistency and you will be there before you know it!
